Application of first hot stamping and post hot stamping in label printing

Compared with the two hot stamping methods, post-bending is an ideal method, which brings convenience to the label graphic design and expands the application range of the hot stamping text. However, due to the limitations of the device function, the label cost is relatively high. The first hot stamping process is suitable for small label processing of simple graphics, low cost and wide application range, and is a commonly used method for small and medium-sized printing plants.

1. Post bronzing process. The post-hot stamping process uses ink, and the hot stamping component is mounted behind the labeling machine's printing station. The web material is first printed and passed through a drying device where the ink is dried instantaneously and then bronted on the surface of the material after drying of the ink or on the surface of the ink. Since the ink is already dry, the juxtaposition and overprinting of the bronzing image have no effect on the roll material, and ink smudging does not occur.

2. First hot stamping process. Used in intermittent paper-feeding presses, using common inks, the bronzing parts are mounted in front of the labeling machine's printing station. Since the ink used is oxidatively polymerized and dried, it takes a certain time for the printed ink to dry completely, so the bronzing graphic must avoid the ink. The best way to avoid ink is to pre-warm the roll material and then print it so that the printed image and the bronzing image are separated (parallel). If printing on bronzing graphics, since the electrochemical aluminum is a metal surface, the ink only has volatilization, conjunctiva, and no penetration, and the surface of the electrochemical aluminum is smooth and does not ink, and is not suitable for printing. The first hot stamping prevents the ink from smearing and ensures the quality of the label printing.

The first hot stamping means that on the labeling machine, the web is first stamped and then printed. After hot stamping is to print first, and finally bronzing. The key to hot stamping and post-hot stamping is the drying problem of the ink. There are two situations in the relationship between bronzing graphics and printed graphics: juxtaposition and overprinting. Due to the different inks used, the functions of the labeling machine are divided into two types: first hot stamping and post hot stamping.
